Mike Fright!

Overcoming Communication Fears

Remember speech class in high-school? It was difficult to speak on the spur of a moment...so to speak! We did about everything except speak.

Communication between a pilot and the "tower," "center," flight service station" are all examples of important communications.

During our early flying days the instructor helped us out by handling early communications hoping against hope that we would pick up on it. Most of us did but sometimes when we needed to communicate the most...our tongues were tied!

Picking up that "Mike" was very tough to do! Speaking into it was even worse.

Follow the link associated with "Mike" for a variety of ways to overcome what everyone fears the most...public speaking. Whether from the cockpit or the board room we all experience it.

Hope you all get over the "sweaty palms" and "frog in your throat" symptoms associated with the nervousness of Mike Fright.

Heres to good flying and communication important to your safety and those who fly with you.
